How I Created Tom Waterhouse’s Viral Video

 

It was a privilege to write and direct this video for one of Australia’s most successful and well known racing identities Tom Waterhouse, with my Dundas Media team.

My goal with the video was to flip Tom’s Aussie image on its head and reinvent his brand for his latest business venture www.TomWaterhouse.com, and online tipping service. I decided to address all the preconceived ideas about Tom by having him own them, and leaning into authenticity.

The video gained over 3 million views in the first 48hrs, and was incredibly successful for Tom’s business. We also delivered 10 shorter edits from the one full length video, providing Tom with a lot more material for video ads.
